Snowflake Challenge #7
Jan. 15th, 2022 02:45 amA bit out of order, but here we go: the challenge is to write about three fandom resources, spaces or communities I use or enjoy.
The first one, although not precisely a fandom resource, has been a lifesaver for me too many times not to mention: the Internet Archive. Seriously, if somehow you can't find a fic (or even fanart, sometimes!) you're sure was there before, it's the first place you should look! There are also good plugins for the major browsers to expedite the process. Also a good place to periodically save stuff you might want to revisit later, just to be sure!
I've written about the second one a bit before, but Tomato Timer is sometimes the only thing that keeps me writing regularly - if I'm not quite feeling it in a certain day I tell myself "I'll just write for 5-15 minutes", open the site and get to it; most times I end up writing a lot more than I'd intended. It's easy to use and you can set task and break times however you want.
For the third one I'll recommend three dreamwidth communities that have already gotten me to write a lot more in the last month:
genprompt_bingo,
fan_flashworks and
fandomweekly. Each one has regular rounds of prompts/bingo cards set up in different ways, so there's something for everyone seeking for inspiration!
